The HESA curriculum is designed to help you connect what you learn in the classroom with the experiences you are having in your graduate assistantship. We have designed a curriculum that is intentional in providing you with the skills and knowledge needed to be a successful student affairs practitioner.

There are several courses that can be taken by both master’s and doctoral students. - 41 credit hours are needed to complete the program
- Full-time students take 2 years to complete the program
- Cohort sizes vary between 35-50 students
- Students take 9-12 credit hours per semester
- A large number of students either take an internship or classes during the summer
- All students are required to complete a practicum (field experience) outside of their assistantship
