With this combination bachelor’s degree from the College of Arts and Sciences and AMP (accelerated master's program) from the School of ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦, you'll be set up for success as a more marketable educator in just one additional year.
This unique program saves you money and enables you to study the content area you’re passionate about while pursuing a master’s degree (as an undergraduate upperclassman). Then, you will enroll in an 11 month IUB Secondary ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦ Masters and Licensure Program (middle or high school). You will be immersed in educational coursework, and in-person clinical and student teaching experiences that prepare you for all classroom settings. Upon successful completion, you will be eligible for an initial teaching license and a M.S.Ed. in Secondary ºÚÂí´ÅÁ¦.
Equip yourself for a life-long career in a field that needs highly qualified, passionate educators who will empower students for all life's challenges. And with a master's degree, you'll be eligible for an increased salary in most districts and states nation-wide.
This program offers rolling admissions, meaning you may apply at any time. Just be sure to submit your interest form prior to your senior year.
The Graduate Studies Office will accept unofficial transcripts and self-reported test scores for admission reviews. Any admission made with these documents would be conditioned on receipt of official documents, which should be provided as soon as possible.
