This committee shall make recommendations regarding program and policy changes related to undergraduate and graduate teacher education and undergraduate curricula, student recruitment and retention, admissions, and programs in the School through initial teacher certification. This committee shall have oversight responsibility with respect to accreditation of teacher education programs and shall advise the Policy Council and Dean (and/or his/her designee) on other matters pertaining to teacher education. The committee shall advise the Dean (and/or his/her designee) on the formation and charge to the Professional Standards Committee (a committee that makes decisions about exceptions to teacher education policies in response to individual student appeals).
