About Me
I’m a licensed psychologist and Associate Professor at Indiana University, where I direct the Indiana Resource Center for Autism and lead the CARAFE Lab, Counseling, Advocacy, and Research on the Autistic Female Experience. Our lab focuses on addressing gender disparities in autism diagnosis and treatment, and on expanding understanding of how autism presents in underrepresented adults and adolescents. We approach this work through a strengths-based, multicultural lens, with an emphasis on promoting flourishing and authenticity.
I have taught graduate courses in diagnostic assessment, counseling theory, and intervention, and I supervise clinical training for master’s and doctoral students preparing for careers in psychological services. My research spans topics including reading interventions, equity in mental health care, and inclusive educational practices.
In addition to my university role, I maintain a private practice where I offer comprehensive adult autism evaluations. My clinical work is informed by both research and deep engagement with neurodivergent communities. I’m licensed to practice across multiple states through PSYPACT, making my services accessible to adults nationwide. Across my teaching, research, and clinical practice, I’m committed to fostering environments where individuals feel understood, supported, and empowered to thrive.
